Skip thecertificate.Ship the project.
Join live engineering projects mentored by industry engineers. Build a portfolio that proves what you can do — not another line on a resume.
Tutorials teach you to follow instructions. Real projects teach you to make decisions — what to build, how to architect it, what breaks and why. That's the difference between watching someone code and shipping a pull request yourself.

How it works
Tell us what you want to build
Sign up and pick the kind of project you want experience with — frontend, backend, mobile, whatever's next for you.
Get matched with a mentor
You're paired with an industry engineer on a live project — not a pre-recorded course, an actual codebase with actual deadlines.
Ship real PRs, get real review
You open pull requests, your mentor reviews them like a real teammate would, and you walk away with a portfolio that shows the work, not just a certificate that claims it.
Questions, answered
Do I need to already know how to code?
You need the basics — enough to be dangerous, not enough to be an expert. The whole point of the mentor relationship is closing the gap between "I know the syntax" and "I can ship production code." If you're brand new to programming entirely, Skillima isn't the right starting point yet.
What does it cost?
Creating an account and getting matched is free. Pricing details for extended mentorship are shown during signup, before you commit to anything.
How much time does it take?
As much as you want to put in — this isn't a fixed-length course with a syllabus. Some students ship a feature in a weekend, others work through a project over a couple of months alongside a full course load or job.
What if I get stuck or don't finish?
That's what the mentor relationship is for — getting stuck and working through it with someone who's done it before is the actual value, not a failure state. Partial, real work still goes on your portfolio; it's still more honest than a completion certificate.
