Skillima Pvt. Ltd. ("Skillima", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Skillima platform — a project-based learning and mentorship service available through our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information — name, email address, password, profile photo, and role (student or mentor).
  • Profile Details — bio, educational background, work experience, skills, and guild memberships.
  • Content — project submissions, messages, feedback, session notes, and any other content you create on the Platform.
  • Payment Information — billing address and payment method details processed through our payment partners. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Communications — messages you send us via the contact form, email, or customer support.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device & Browser Data — IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and screen resolution.
  • Usage Data — pages visited, features used, session duration, referral URLs, and click patterns.
  • Cookies & Similar Technologies — we use cookies, local storage, and analytics tags. See Section 8 for details.

2.3 Information From Third Parties

  • OAuth Providers — if you sign in with Google or another OAuth provider, we receive your name, email, and profile picture as permitted by your provider settings.
  • Analytics Partners — aggregated usage insights from services such as Google Analytics.

  • Provide & improve the Platform — matching students with mentors, facilitating project enrolment, and personalising your experience.
  • Communication — sending service-related notifications, responding to support requests, and sharing relevant updates.
  • Safety & Security — detecting fraud, preventing abuse, and enforcing our Terms of Service.
  • Analytics — understanding usage trends to make the Platform better.
  • Legal Compliance — meeting regulatory obligations and responding to lawful requests.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Service Providers — cloud hosting (e.g. Supabase, Vercel), payment processors, email delivery services, and analytics providers who act on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
  • Mentors & Students — limited profile information is visible to other Platform users to facilitate collaboration.
  • Legal Authorities — when required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
  • Business Transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the services. After account deletion we may retain anonymised or aggregated data for analytics. Specific retention periods include:

  • Account data — until you delete your account or request erasure.
  • Usage logs — up to 24 months from collection.
  • Payment records — as required by applicable tax and financial regulations (typically 5–7 years).
  • Support correspondence — 12 months after resolution, unless a longer period is required by law.
